A few solutions for the iPhone 4 proximity sensor problem

As you are no doubt aware, the recent iPhone 4 launch hasn’t been without its “bumps” including reception issues, yellow screens, the availability of white… and now talk of bung proximity sensors.

Y’see, all iPhones use a proximity sensor to turn the touch screen off when you’re on a call, preventing you from accidentally hanging up on your mother-in-law. Every time she calls you.

And she keeps on calling, doesn’t she? No matter what the time, she’ll call! Even if she has nothing to say, she’ll call! All she does is talk talk talk talk … and where was I?
